Program/Planning Development
We identify common interests by celebrating culture. From conception, to execution, to evaluation, our programs are rooted in community based values and solutions.
Design
We design projects for spaces and places by utilizing community voice and respecting cultural knowledge. We have curated projects such as; murals, performance spaces, business incubators, community gardens, and more.
Facilitation & Implementation
We keep in mind the histories and strategies of existing programs while building positive relationships with stakeholders to achieve milestones and outcomes.
Community Engagement
We understand and navigate the disconnect between the status quo tools of engagement and true community collaboration. Knowing that race, ethnicity, culture, and experience have profound effects on how individuals perceive and react to the world around them we value authentic exchange.
Research
We are building a practice of decolonizing planning theories through indigenous concepts that are holistic and functional and not solely based in visual design.
Artistry
We aim to make Detroit a more culturally rich place to live by highlighting the intersection of art and representation. With over 20 years of cultural artistry, we engage in the vital work of supporting culture keepers to create a community of stewards that shape our narratives.
